graduated in industrial design at FAAP, in são paulo, fernando prado started his career developing lamps for lighting design projects in an architecture office
nowadays, prado is lumini’s creative director, director of ADP – product designer’s associacion – and member of the editorial board of L+D magazine
in only a few years along his career, fernando prado achieved important national and international prizes such as red dot best of the best, iF gold, good design, design plus, german design award and museu da casa brasileira
his objects comprise simplicity, functionality and technology and are known and admired for the interaction they offer to the user. his creations include the bossa, lift and bauhaus 90 lamps, together with the luna lamp, immortalized in 2005 in a post stamp as representative of the creativity of brazilian design
